What is +P Ammo?
Ammunition rated +P generates a chamber pressure higher than the cartridge’s published standard, but the level is less than those produced when proof rounds initially torture test a firearm. Increased bullet velocity is the result—an advantage for some self-defense handguns—but not all guns can safely run the hotter loads. In those cases, the added stress can prematurely wear parts, void some warranties or, worse yet, lead to catastrophic failure and personal injury.
Owners of firearms rated for its use, however, can run the ammunition with confidence. Improved performance on target is the biggest advantage. Flatter trajectory is another, although +P is primarily handgun ammo, where reduced holdover at 100 yards isn’t a huge concern. That benefit, however, may be of interest to anyone with a pistol-cartridge carbine.

LINCOLN’S TYRANNY: The Catholic Bishop of Liverpool
Via Carl

The Catholic Bishop of Liverpool (England) [Alexander Goss], in a recent address, delivered there, said:
"Think
you that the imperialism of Russia is more tyrannical, or that it
crushes more people than Abraham Lincoln, who is the representative of a
Liberal Government in the Republic across the ocean? No; there is no
tyranny more terrible than that which bears the banner of liberty — that
banner which crushes the liberty of others whilst it raises up itself,
which brings itself into fame; because it has trodden down almost
everything else that may be near it."

Businesswoman Kelly Loeffler Reportedly Will Be Chosen as Georgia’s Next US Senator

Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp is expected to appoint financial executive Kelly Loeffler to the U.S. Senate, replacing ailing GOP Sen. Johnny Isakson.
Kemp is expected to announce Loeffler sometime next week, according to several senior GOP officials who spoke with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A source familiar with Kemp’s deliberations also told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the governor is expected to announce his decision in the coming days.
The announcement would mark the end of months-long backroom lobbying by applicants hoping to become the state’s next U.S. senator.

When Dems Find Out Who Set Up That Fake ICE University Which Nabbed Scores of Illegals, Watch How Fast This Story Dies
Via G.W. Long
Bronson has an excellent piece about the recent round-up of illegals that enrolled in a fake university. Immigration and Customs Enforcement nabbed some 250 people in this effort. It was a successful enforcement measure. It’s something that should be done more often. If you’re an illegal alien, you have to go. Sorry, that’s the law. That’s federal law. And we have a new sheriff in Donald J. Trump who will enforce those laws. Immigration enforcement authorities will find you and kick you the hell out. Period. No one has the right to come here. We can deny anyone entry. And crime and poverty aren’t reasons for asylum, the other aspect of our immigration policy that needs an overhaul.
