 Is anyone else too old to start living on his knees? See, submission is not in the cards. The question is whether preserving our freedom means dissolving the Union. And though our alleged betters tell us we are not allowed to think about that horrible prospect, it’s the ruling caste itself that raised the question.

When you get a vile clown like Chuck Schumer promising to “change America” if he steals another Georgia election in the coming run-off, it only reaffirms that we don’t want to “change America” – at least not into the Venezuela-lite he and his coterie of neo-Marxist bother-wedders, fake Indians, and buck-tooth morons want. We’re not living in a dictatorship of the mediocre-tariat, or of anyone else, period. That’s non-negotiable. Nor does any alleged conservative principle of the kind pushed by supine gimps of the Mitt n’ French variety bind us to do so.

I spoke with my old Gunnery Sgt. yesterday, who I grew up with, regarding what's going on in the  Corps. He joined in 1959 did 24 years and spent four years in Vietnam.; He lives just outside of Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville. He says that the Marine Corps has changed drastically. He said that they disbanded the tanks and one of his best friends, who is also a Gunnery Sgt., says that he will not change his MOS and he is going to retire. He said that they did do an exercise from Camp Lejeune to Fort Drum concentrating on urban warfare.. It was very hush-hush and a big secret but he thinks it's because of the possible trouble after the presidential election is finalized. He said that the Corps has changed a lot and many old timers have no respect for the Commandant.  

He said it's not like when we were in where you kicked ass and took names but it is now a softer gentler group of crybabies that bitch about everything. He said that's why the Commandant got rid of all things Confederate because the Blacks pitched. a bitch.; now he has created animosity with the Southerners. He said that even at  boot camp they have timeout cards and you can't yell anymore. He said there's still some very gung ho Marines but why they would let this other element survive is beyond him and it will be interesting to see what happens to them in the time of war. We laughed about the old days when if you didn't do something right you got your ass handed to you and rightfully so but when you got called upon you did your extreme best and didn't bitch

Gunny just turned 80 years old and is still a hard charger!

Our friend David Horowitz wrote this essay, which he titled “Fighting Words.” It is a call for freedom-loving Americans to fight back against the totalitarian Left.

By now it should be obvious – even to conservatives – that we are in a war. It is a conflict that began nearly fifty years ago when the street revolutionaries of the Sixties joined the Democrat Party. Their immediate goal was to help the Communist enemy win the war in Vietnam, but they stayed to expand their influence in the Democrat Party and create the radical force that confronts us today. The war that today’s Democrats are engaged in reflects the values and methods of those radicals. It is a war against us – against individual freedom, against America’s constitutional order, and against the capitalist engine of our prosperity.

Over the last four months, Americans have lived through what is arguably the most consequential period of government malfeasance in U.S. history. Public officials’ overreaction to the novel coronavirus put American cities into a coma; those same officials’ passivity in the face of widespread rioting threatens to deliver the coup de grâce. Together, these back-to-back governmental failures will transform the American polity and cripple urban life for decades.

Before store windows started shattering in the name of racial justice, urban existence was already on life support, thanks to the coronavirus lockdowns. Small businesses—the restaurants and shops that are the lifeblood of cities—were shuttered, many for good, leaving desolate rows of “For Rent” signs on street after street in New York City and elsewhere. Americans huddled in their homes for months on end, believing that if they went outside, death awaited them.

Sadly Fighting Your Own People

Lincoln launched his war in 1861 with the stated goal of maintaining the Union, and by use of force, to refuse recognition of those States choosing to form a more perfect Union of their own. After Lincoln had become disenchanted with several ineffectual commanders, he settled upon U.S. Grant who achieved some measure of success with relentless mass attacks upon numerically inferior numbers, the latter to be worn down by simple attrition.

Grant’s wife, Julia Dent, inherited thirty slaves and her father’s plantation, White Haven, making Grant the proprietor of a large slaveholding estate.  Grant was indifferent to slavery and no abolitionist, writing his father that “I am sure that I have but one desire in this war and that is to put down the rebellion. I have no hobby of my own with regard to the negro, either to effect his freedom or to continue his bondage.”

Appreciating a fellow autocrat who was consolidating scattered republics into a centralized empire, Bismarck supported Lincoln’s war and encouraged Germans to purchase Union war bonds – and by 1864, German immigrants made up fully one-quarter of Lincoln’s army.

This may be a paraphrase from The Memoirs of Stalin’s former Secretary by Boris Bazhanov published in 2002. It actually referred to a vote of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1923, of which Stalin said,

“Í consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how, but what is extraordinarily important is this: who will count the votes and how.”

The idea of dishonest vote counting to win elections did not originate with the Soviet Union or Joseph Stalin, although voter fraud, dishonest vote counts, and the dark shadow of voter intimidation are consistent characteristics of Marxist philosophy and practice.

The people who vote do count, and it is important that they be fairly, truthfully, and well informed in casting their vote. But the second part of Stalin’s alleged quote is true.

CONFEDERATE FRONTIERSMEN The Story of Company A, Baylor’s Regiment of Arizona Rangers

The Confederate Territory of Arizona was beset by numerous threats, with Yankee forces to the north, Mexican bandits to the south, and Apache marauders everywhere in between. To meet these threats, Governor John Robert Baylor immediately mustered into Confederate service the various local militia companies which existed within the Territory. The best of these were the Arizona Guards of Pinos Altos (a town on the Mimbres River near present-day Deming, New Mexico), commanded by Captain Thomas Mastin, and the Arizona Rangers of La Mesilla (not to be confused with Company A, Baylor's Regiment of Arizona Rangers, who form the main subject of this article), commanded by Captain George Frazier.1

These local militia units proved a valuable addition to the Confederate forces defending Arizona, but Governor Baylor recognized the need to raise yet more troops for its defense. Taking a page from the history of his native State, Baylor decided to raise a regiment of Rangers for frontier defense. Like the famous Texas Rangers with which he was familiar, this regiment of Arizona Rangers would consist of several companies of cavalry which would patrol and defend the frontier areas of Confederate Arizona from the various threats the Territory faced. The plan never came to fruition, however, and only one of these companies was ever raised. This was, of course, Company A.2
