Atlanta Jewish Times Column Suggests 'Hit' on President

Via Billy

The publisher of a small Atlanta weekly is now drawing international condemnation for a column he wrote that goes far beyond merely criticizing the president.

In a Jan. 13 column in the Atlanta Jewish Times, owner and publisher Andrew Adler wrote that one of three options for Israel in dealing with the threat of a nuclear Iran could be to "take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel."

He reiterated it. "Yes, you read 'three' correctly. Order a hit on the president in order to preserve Israel’s existence."

Adler said he wrote the piece “to get a reaction from the Jewish community.”

The reaction has come from critics from across the globe.

Caught on Tape: Dead People and Clones Offered Ballots in Vermont Primary

Racial Quota Fallout

Many years ago, I learned of an episode in the life of a promising young black man that is relevant to things happening now. He had been educated at a good school, and went on to receive degrees at good colleges and universities. Then he went for a Ph.D. in mathematics at one of the leading departments in that field.

When he encountered difficulties, his professors essentially wrote his doctoral thesis for him. No doubt they felt good about doing something to help a promising young black man, and perhaps took pride in doing so. But what about his pride?

This young man ended up joining an extremist group that hated white people.

Would it have been worse if he had not gotten a Ph.D. in math? Probably 99 percent of the people in this country, regardless of race, could not get a Ph.D. in math — and yet they can still live happy and fulfilling lives.

What recalled this episode from long ago was the current flurry of interest in a video of a young Barack Obama at the Harvard law school praising Derrick Bell, a black professor there, whose writings on "critical race theory" promoted an extremist hostility to white people.

Derrick Bell was for years a civil rights lawyer, but not an academic legal scholar of the sort who gets appointed as a full professor at one of the leading law schools. Yet he became a visiting professor at the Stanford law school and was a full professor at the Harvard law school.

It was transparently obvious in both cases that his appointment was because he was black, not because he had the qualifications that got other people appointed to these faculties. At Stanford, his students complained that his course on constitutional law was not up to the standards of the other courses they were taking.

Finally, a reason to like Mitt Romney for president, he'll defund Planned Parenthood

WyBlog
VERBATIM POST

Mitt Romney finally said something I like — as president he'll follow Chris Christie's lead and ax all public funding for Planned Parenthood.

Answering a question Tuesday about how he would cut the budget, Romney told a viewer of KSDK-TV in Kirkwood, Mo., that he would administer a test to see whether a program qualifies for federal funding.

"My test is pretty simple. Is the program so critical that it's worth borrowing money from China to pay for? And on that basis, of course you get rid of Obamacare. That's the easy one. But there are others. Planned Parenthood, we're going to get rid of that. There's a subsidy for Amtrak. I would eliminate that. National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities. Both excellent programs but we just can't afford to borrow money to pay for those things," he said.

Music to my ears!

Predictably the Democrats went apopleptic — War On Women! — and compared his proposed reduction in federal borrowing to enacting tax cuts for millionaires. Because to the mathematically-challenged, they're exactly the same thing.

But if the Democrats really believe Planned Parenthood needs additional funding, well maybe their friends at Susan G. Komen can help. Put on a "Race For The Pill," or perhaps a Pinewood Derby featuring aborted fetuses. I'm sure there are celebrities who'd fall over themselves to be associated with something awesome like that.

Corporate sponsors too. All those companies who ditched Rush Limbaugh for instance. They're looking for new marketing opportunities, right? Have your abortion on a Sleep Train mattress! The possibilities are endless.

Media Matters astroturfed the Limbaugh secondary boycott

The secondary boycott of Rush Limbaugh advertisers is portrayed in the media as a reaction to a groundswell of public outrage. In fact, the secondary boycott was initiated by and driven by Media Matters, which had a “Stop Limbaugh” campaign on the shelf waiting to be used, and was executed by Angelo Carusone, Director of Online Strategy for Media Matters.

Carusone was the person behind online efforts against Glenn Beck even before joining Media Matters in 2010, and also is behind Stop Fox News and Stop Limbaugh efforts. His role appears to be going after advertisers, and getting others to do so via Twitter and other online media.

In an interview with The Village Voice, Carusone acknowledged that there already was a dormant Stop Limbaugh campaign at Media Matters, which then was activated for this controversy:

Strange numbers coming out of Alabama election

Interesting numbers coming out of Alabama... Just for comparison Ron Paul vs. Mitt Romney's Popular vote vs Delegate Votes

Source: http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/AL/38312/75663/en/su...

//Popular Vote
Ron Paul: 5.0% 30,494

//Delegate Votes
Ron's delegates Place 1: 75,385
Ron's delegates Place 2: 71,069
Ron's delegates Place 3: 67,953
Ron's delegates Place 4: 68,630

Why would someone not vote for Ron Paul in the popular vote, but vote for his delegates? Or, was the popular vote manipulated and the delegate vote not? Who knows, but something is not right here. From the looks of it, Ron Paul probably received around 75,000+ votes rather than the 30,000 reported.

//Popular Vote
Mitt Romney: 29.0% 178,601

//Delegate Votes
Romney's delegates Place 1: 162,265
Romney's delegates Place 2: 144,302
Romney's delegates Place 3: 142,862
Romney's delegates Place 4: 141,725

Look at Romney's delegates, pretty close to his total number of popular votes.

Oh, and all the delegate votes still haven't been counted.

Here's the Alabama Ballot: http://alabamavotes.gov/downloads/election/2012/primary/samp...

In the ballot it clearly states:

"Votes for delegate candidates pledged to someone other than the voter's choice for President ARE NOT ALLOWED UNDER REPUBLICAN PARTY RULES."

Ron Paul only has received around 30,000 of the popular votes, yet has around 70,000-75,000 votes for his delegate candidates... (and on the ballot you only vote for one delegate per place)

So this leaves three scenarios in my mind:

  1. The popular vote is rigged
  2. Voters didn't read the rules and filled out their ballots in entire - problems with this:
    • Wouldn't the other candidates have similar gains in their delegate votes?
    • The ballot reader should not have accepted the ballot
  3. The ballot machine did not validate ballots

Support the Upcoming Work by Thomas DiLorenzo

Not too long ago, the myth of Lincoln was accepted everywhere. The Greatest President, the Savior of the Union, the … you get the idea. His true role — as dictator, the launcher of a horrific and unnecessary war (other countries abolished slavery peacefully), an inflationist and pioneer of the income and inheritance taxes, a centralizer, a police statist, and the wrecker of the Constitution — was covered up.

Tom DiLorenzo changed all that with two brilliant books — The Real Lincoln and Lincoln Unmasked. He undid the vast apparatus of establishment propaganda with compelling written research and scholarship. No statist professor is safe today from contradiction by smart students, thanks to Tom. No more pulling the wool over our eyes.

A fearless and productive scholar, Tom has produced 14 books altogether, and each has helped build the foundation of liberty and historical truth. So, of course, he has been denounced and demonized by all the usual suspects, from left-liberal congressmen to the New York Times. To no effect, I should add, because Tom lets nothing stop him.
