Marlins baseball & Dixie's 16th!
In game one Sal Annunziata hit a walk-off, three-run home run to propel the Marlins to a 7-4 victory. The home run was the second three-run blast for Annunziata in the game, after he launched a dinger off the top of the scoreboard in the third inning.
DNC Scientists Disprove Existence of Roberts' Taxon

WASHINGTON DC - Jubilant scientists at the DNC's High Speed Word Collider (HSWC) announced today they have conclusively disproven the existence of Roberts' Taxon, the theoretical radioactive Facton particle that some had worried would lead to the implosion of the entire Universal Health Care System.
"I think it's time to pop the champagne corks," said HSWC Director David Plouffe. "Then blaze some choom."
The landmark experiment in Quantum Rhetoric began early this week after legal particle cosmologist John Roberts published a paper in the Quarterly Journal of Tortured Logic that solved the long-debated Pelosi's Paradox in Universal Health Care Theory.
"Pelosi's Paradox states that in order to find out what is in a health care bill, it would have to be passed," explained physicist Steven Hawking. "But in order to be a law it would have to be constitutional, which means someone would have to know what was in it, which would mean it couldn't have been a bill in the first place. Think of Schroedinger's Cat, except with a lobotomy."
To solve the paradox, Roberts proposed the existence of the Taxon - an ephemeral, mysterious facton particle that in theory would allow the Universal Health System to be constitutional, without directly observing what was in it. DNC scientists at first cheered Roberts' findings, but it soon came apparent that it opened an even deadlier dilemma.
"If Roberts' Taxon were really to exist, and was woven throughout the Health-Government-Time continuum, the merest realization of it would create a giant black hole in Gallup Space and cause free healthcare reality to collapse upon itself," said Plouffe.
In order to disprove the Taxon, scientists at the HSWC devised a test experiment in their enormous CarneyLab bullshit accelerator. This test involved speeding a small mass of Facton - theoretically containing Roberts' Taxon - and smashing it at near-light speed against a flaming super-dense ionized clod of purified bullshit.

"It was a complete success," said Plouffe. "The collision produced only inert crap particles like Feesons and Penaltyons, obliterating any traces of a single highly radioactive Taxon. What's more, we were thrilled that it also resulted in over 300 milliaxlerods of of positive Fernstroms."
While super high-density bullshit was critical to the experiment, Plouffe said other key variables were necessary to keep potential Taxons from escaping to Gallup Reality Space.
"We were careful to shroud the collision within the Beltosphere, which is protected with a thick sheath of inert, pliable media," he noted. "As additional protection, we surrounded it with a negatively-charged gaseous squirrel field."
Base on the success of the test, Plouffe said the HSWC would soon begin work on destroying traces of a new deadly Facton particle, the Unemployon.
"LOOK, SQUIRREL!" He added.
Black Unemployment Increases From 13.6% to 14.4%
The long, sad faces you’re seeing from our corrupt media have nothing to do with the bad news the unemployed received this morning (my wife among them). Nope, the media is sad for Barack Obama because job creation in June was way below expectations and the overall trend is downward. Thanks to Obama's failed policies, this great big beautiful country of ours created only 80,000 jobs last month, way below estimates that ranged in the 100,000 mark, some as high as over 150,000.
Hit hardest were the unemployed in the black community, where the unemployment rate increased from 13.6% in May to 14.4% in June. For black youths aged 16 to 19, the unemployment rate is now an astonishing 39.3%, up from 36.5% last month.
After an increase from 10.3% to 11.0% in May, the unemployment rate among Hispanics remained stuck at 11.0% in June.
According to CNN this is the weakest job quarter in three years.

While the individual mandate tax gets most of the attention, the ObamaCare law actually contains 20 new or higher taxes on the American people. These taxes are gradually phased in over the years 2010 (with its 10 percent “tanning tax”) to 2018 (when the tax on comprehensive health insurance plans kicks in.)
Six months from now, in January 2013, five major ObamaCare taxes will come into force:
1. The ObamaCare Medical Device Manufacturing Tax
This 2.3 percent tax on medical device makers will raise the price of (for example) every pacemaker, prosthetic limb, stent, and operating table. Can you remind us, Mr. President, how taxing medical devices will reduce the cost of health care? The tax is particularly destructive because it is levied on gross sales and even targets companies who haven’t turned a profit yet.
These are often small, scrappy companies with less than 20 employees who pioneer the next generation of life-prolonging devices. In addition to raising the cost of health care, this $20 billion tax over the next ten years will not help the country’s jobs outlook, as the industry employs nearly 400,000 Americans. Several companies have already responded to the looming tax by cutting research and development budgets and laying off workers.

At a time when Washington, D.C. is understood by all to be the enemy of America, we hear that former Miss America (2010) Rima Fakih was wandering drunk in the streets of Hollywood. How symbolic, as well as tragic.The Arab Muslim girl from a family of terrorist associates, pawned off as an American very much the way Barry “Obama” Soetoro was, is now a confirmed inebriate, careless of law, disrespectful of America, and apparently without shame. This is her established reputation now. But, is this any different from the majority of Americans who voted for “Barack Hussein Obama”?
That such a beautiful girl would have so little character bespeaks the state of American society. Our glorious country has become as superficial as the alien, lying, black African Communist Muslim in the White House. And the people would have it so.

The religion of the founding fathers, Christianity–with its roots in Judaism, is publicly despised by Washington, DC, while a foreign and hostile religion, Islam, is lauded as salvific and essential to the future of the world.

Lincoln’s subsequent intent to excite servile war to handicap the South was identical to Lord Dunmore’s emancipation proclamation in 1775, and Vice Admiral Sir Alexander Cochrane’s in 1814.

[Royal] Governor Dunmore was not concerned, primarily, with the freedom of the negroes; he hoped that the promised freedom would handicap the rebellion against British authority.
President Lincoln freely admitted that his proclamation was “a war measure”; and he had been in favor of perpetuating, by Constitutional amendment, if need be, the “bonds of slavery” wherever it existed within the bounds of the United States. Such was the form of the Thirteenth Amendment as passed by a Northern Congress in 1861.
Why not believe Lincoln when he specifically said he was not waging the war to free the slave? Why not believe the testimony (now wholly lost sight of in the pathetic fallacy of the “moral” issue) of contemporary witnesses that the Northern armies would have melted away had any such idea been understood in 1861?”
General Grant held slaves. Lee was an emancipationist. A.W. Bradford was the Union Governor of Maryland in 1862-1864. He was a large slaveholder, while his neighbor, Bradley T. Johnson, a distinguished Confederate general, owned no slaves. Lincoln’s proclamation did not affect slavery in Maryland because slavery in Maryland was protected under the Union.”
