Why Aren’t Americans Interested in History?

 

Posted Nation Above All yesterday which alludes to some of the subject matter.

The study of history cannot be neatly contained behind the tall foreboding doors of an ivory tower nor swept under the rugs of dusty corner offices housing stacks of paper. It bleeds into other fields as it serves to inform both individual and group identity. It gives context to the current world and helps one understand their place in it culturally, socially, and spiritually. The modern disinterest in studying history has more to do with a lack of identification with the subject matter presented than it does an actual disdain for stories of the past.

NYC 9/11 Top Cop Bernard Kerik: FBI Must Classify ANTIFA as a ‘Domestic Terror Group’

 

 “The thing that frightens me more than these groups doing this is the deafening silence of the senior Democratic leaders in this country. Everybody should be outraged. Every political figure in this country should be outraged by this behavior. Everybody should be calling for it to stop [and] doing whatever they can to make it stop. Yet on the left, on the Democratic side, you have a deafening silence. Nobody is doing a damn thing to stop this. … There are people in government that don’t have a problem with this.”

Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik told Breitbart News Tonight Thursday evening that the FBI should classify Antifa as a “domestic terror group.” He offered his remarks in an interview with SiriusXM hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak.

Kerik’s comments were made during a discussion of left-wing activists threatening and intimidating Tucker Carlson’s family on Wednesday night outside of the Carlson family’s home in Washington, D.C.

Kerik said, “In the most minimal definition of terrorism, it’s the unlawful use of violence and intimidation — especially against civilians — in pursuit of political aims. Antifa is a domestic terror group. I strongly believe that the FBI and the Department of Justice should classify them as such.”

Carver Heights School Wayne County NC is about to be taken over by State of NC, because of failing grades! All they will talk about is pumping more tax dollars into a school that continually fails! The real problem is students and lack of parents participation! No amount of money will fix any school! Until respect is recognized and students and parents are accountable for their on failures, it will only get worse!

So today this happened in Douglass High school in Baltimore 😡😡 the teacher just came back from have a cancer surgery and the child was not suspended 😡😡 I can not imagine why this would ever be ok to hit a teacher let alone an adult !!! I would be breaking my foot all up in my child ass if they ever did some shit like this !!! The fact that it’s on video and it’s still no disciplinary action being done disgust me

Could Papadopoulos Blow the Russia Hoax Wide Open?

Dan Bongino recently conducted a fascinating interview with George Papadopoulos. The most convenient way to digest the interview is at Jeff Carlson’s blog, which has a link to the interview on Bongino’s radio show as well as a full transcript of the interview. What emerges from the interview is, in my view, convincing evidence that Papadopoulos was, in Chuck Ross’s words, the target of an “FBI sting.”

Actually, that characterization doesn’t even go far enough. What seems clear at this point is that the FBI — representing the US Government and as an agency of the Department of Justice — targeted Papadopoulos and attempted to manipulate him into appearing to be a vehicle for Russian influence in the Trump campaign. The FBI had no reason to believe that Papadopoulos had any connections to Russian officials before they targeted him. The fact is, Papadopoulos’s academic background and previous experience was in what could be broadly termed “Eastern Mediterranean” politics — Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Israel. Moreover, in his published writings he actually evinced a degree of hostility to Russian influence in that region.
