Government, force, cops and jury trials

VERBATIM

f there is one thing history has taught us, it has rubbed our noses in the plain fact that governments abuse power. Governments have the ability to bring force to bear in order to achieve their goals.

When a politician says "This is a law" what he is really saying is, "We will use force to make you do this, or to stop you from doing it. We'll take your stuff and we'll wreck your life; we'll put you in a steel cage for years - maybe even the rest of your life. We'll hit you with sticks or shoot you with an electrical charge if you resist us and, ultimately we will kill you if you will not comply with our directives."

When the government wants to deprive you of your life, liberty or property, it is supposed to go to court and make its case for why this should happen.

YOU are supposed to be presumed to be innocent of the government's charges and the government has to make its case. The unspoken assumption is that the government will do what it has done for centuries: lie, cheat and defraud in order to achieve its goal.

The police, in their various forms and agencies, are the ones who employ the force of government. They are given guns and other tools to enforce their immediate will upon you.

History has shown us, over and over again, that the police, as agents of the government, will lie, cheat and defraud in an effort to achieve their goal of forcing their will upon us.

Over the course of the last 3 - 4 years, me and others have posted case after case after case demonstrating that the improper, immoral use of force by the police is not a sometime thing. It is an all the time thing in America today.

They will kick down our doors in the middle of the night and drag us out on the lawn for our neighbors to see; they'll shoot our children and our moms and set them on fire with flash bangs.

They'll destroy our property, they'll take whatever they think they can keep or sell without charging us with a crime.

They'll shoot our dogs, our friends and neighbors and members of our family and then clam up and get a compliant judge to seal the warrant.

They'll lie to get warrants from compliant judges and then break into our homes and kill us when we try to defend ourselves.

They will lie and commit conspiracy to defraud us of our rights. They'll attack us and destroy our property or put us in jail when we try to document their abuses on film.

And then, along comes folks like MGD45, defenders who insist that, evidence to the contrary, we automatically assume that it is the individual victims of the police who are the liars, cheats and defrauders and the police are the innocent victims.

Guys, America is under siege by its government and their armed agents. When I read stories like those posted here this week, I WILL NOT automatically assume the cops are the innocent victims. I will draw whatever conclusions I wish from these stories, and I will continue to advocate for punishments and penalties for cops that are at least 10x greater than what the average street thug would get - because a cop knows better and the crimes he commits are done under the protection of the law.

It's past time for politicians and their enforcers to learn who is really in charge here.
