James Brown & Luciano Pavarotti + 1964 + Memories Of James Brown

Memories Of James Brown

Very similar to the show at the Mosque that I saw, though the crowds were completely different for some reason.  I don't know where this was performed and could find nothing on a search. A phenomenal showman who put every ounce of energy into his shows.

I imagine, he will turn out to be the most amazing entertainer ever. When did you see them and were you from Richmond?

  2. 78-80? Sometime back then. I am from DC, but Moms family were long time Richmond folks. Still have some family there.
Mosque was a cool venue, small place, so seeing the dead there was like they were playing for a bunch of friends...

  3. Evidently it was 5/25/77... The 70s are um, a little hazy. Perhaps they played in a smaller hall in there, or I really missed seeing a bunch of the place... I was right up front...I have excuses....
