During a press conference on Wednesday, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the unilateral creation of new “climate action hubs” that will be placed in seven locations around the country.
“On the heels of passage of the farm bill, the administration will take executive action to help farmers, ranchers and rural communities combat climate change and adapt to extreme weather and other damage it causes,” a White House official said in an email ahead of Wednesday’s announcement.
The hubs will link a network of universities, nonprofits and Federal and State agencies to help further the President’s climate change agenda without legislative help.
“These climate action hubs are really part of the president’s climate action plan and its directive of us to actually act, not wait for Congress, not wait for laws to be passed, but to do it on our own,” Vilsack said at the White House.

This jackass was governor of Iowa. Things were getting stable there and wages were beginning to get fairly decent.
ReplyDeleteThen what does Governor Jackass do?
He goes down to Mexico and tell them that there are plenty of jobs in Iowa then gives them maps to get there. The Mexicans flood the job market, shoots down the wages, and displaces the native population from the work force.
He tried to run for president, Iowa is the first state in the caucus and primary system, He couldn't the support of Iowa so he drops out.
No surprise that President Jackass hires ex-governor Jackass since birds of a feather flock together.
birds of a feather flock together.
DeleteYes and thanks for the info.
As much as I despise Al Gore and his ilk, I have been watching some wierd weather patterns and there is definilely something going on with the climate. From what I have read and been told, the sun is in a lull, which is very abnornal for this 11 year cycle whereby the solar flares and other activity is suppose to be very high and it is not. There is a shift happening with the earth's magnetic poles which has not happened for a very very long time and no one knows what the affects are going to be. Supposidly, the earthquake that happened in 2011 in Japan was powerful enough that it shifted the earths rotating axis a bit. 60 degree weather in Anchorage and in the former Czech republic in the middle of winter* unheard of, Highest recorded winds with typhoon in the Phillipines, guyser activity on ones that have been doramnt for over a century in Yellowstone ( I won"t go int the 3" rise a year in the ground there from the super volcano) and more. Whacky weather all over the place. as the old adage states "There is something brewing". Just food for thought folks
ReplyDeleteMy friend, (my best John McCain impersonation) the planet is thousands if not millions of years old (creationist and evolutionary views both respected)
Deletebut meteorological record keeping with any degree of accuracy is only a century or so old. The only way to know that there is or isn't climate change is to look at geological evidence and that evidence clearly shows
that the planets climate has fluctuated over time and did so before humans were here. Remember there were glaciers in the US Midwest and Greenland supposedly used to be farmed.
To think that we humans can destroy the climate or correct it is beyond arrogant and egotistical. I will grant that we might be able to screw things up enough to kill us off but the planet will survive or fail regardless of us.
I agree with your observations but please don't start thinking Al Gore might be right. Remember, he thinks he invented the Internet. He couldn't write enough code to create the box I'm typing this if Bill and Hillary helped him.
Dr. Robinson (Dixie's Homeschooler) Myth Of Global Warming

More than 31,000 American scientists have signed the following petition which Dr. Art Robinson initiated. His Power Point Presentation below compares their findings against the opposition, and lists the names of the scientists who signed.
Global Warming Petition
"We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.
There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth."
