Columbia, MO November 18, 2010 - Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Venture plays host to a hand full of Southern Poverty Law Center "patriots" as Venture and team expose the plans for FEMA facilities. The program, which originally aired on TruTV on Friday, November 12, 2010, will re-air this Friday, November 19, at 8 PM, 7 pm Central.
Ventura hosts guest independent filmmaker William Lewis, along with guests Alex Jones, Catherine Bleish, and John Bush as Ventura and his team explore FEMA legislation, locations, and more. Lewis directs Ventura team member Daniel Kucan to a FEMA Location outside Los Angeles, California, where Kucan can see the massive security fence, the trailers, and barbed wire facing inward.
The legislation, HR 645, is a particularly nasty bit of legislative handiwork. Called National Emergency Centers Establishment Act, HR 645 spells out what the purpose of the centers; to provide housing, medical and other aid to people dislocated in the case of an emergency or a disaster. The minimum requirements for these facilities are to be "capable of meeting for an extended period of time the housing, health, transportation, education, public works, humanitarian and other transitional needs of a large number of individuals" and are to be able to be "scaled up or down" as needed.
While the Southern Poverty Law Center, CNN and even Glenn Beck thinks these emergency facilities are innocuous enough, the loss of liberties at such a rapid rate since 9/11, especially with FEMA's mishandling of the crisis during their involvement during Hurricane Katrina, and the passage of the USA PATRIOT Acts, allowing the indefinite detention of someone on the word and suspicion of one person, makes this legislation and these facilities a real concern.
The FEMA-centered documentaries released by producer Gary Franchi and director William Lewis address all of this and much more. For more information, please visit www.CampFEMA.com
