  1. Mr. Townsend:

    That was amazing!

    Do you know that guy?

I lived in Japan when I was a boy.

My father was stationed at Ashiya Air Force Base on the island of Kyushu.

When I was in Viet Nam, I went on R&R to Japan, and visited Osaka, Enoshima, Kamakura, Tokyo, and Yokohama.

But, I never saw any Japanese Second World War re-enactors!

    Thank you.

  2. No, I don't know him and was surprised as you concerning the Japanese re-enactors! My R&Rs were visiting, Bangkok twice, Australia, and Okinawa which I hated. As I a civilian I went back to Bangkok many times plus Cambodia and Laos.

  3. Mr. Townsend:

I also had an R&R in Australia, where instead of staying in a hotel, I lived in the home of an English couple whose son was away serving aboard a submarine in the Royal Australian Navy.

When I flew from Viet Nam to Israel for a special thirty day leave, I spent one day in Bangkok, and toured the city while waiting to change planes.

    Thank you.

  4. Interesting. Our plane broke down, so we got a free night's stay. My buddy and I went in June and were surprised that it wasn't beach weather!:)
