Greetings:Is it my imagination, or do I discern HATRED in the face of that Black television reporter? Also, I'm not so sure I believe the story that Negro slaves were "forced" into the Confederate Army.I know that wasn't true in every instance, as many Negroes, both slave and free, volunteered.Just as Whites did, they felt they were fighting to defend their own homes against an invading foreign military force.Thank you.John Robert MallerneeArmed Forces Retirement HomeGulfport, Mississippi 39507
She did OK, but I detected a little something also. Of course using "forced" could be like drafted as there was a conscription act also and yes, many fought to protect their home land.
