Estate Tax is Government Designed to Stop Families From Keeping Their Money

  1. F***ing commies.

"Let me be clear": I will inherit NOTHING from my forebears, and will likely LEAVE nothing to my descendants.

    That is irrelevant.

Am I -at times- jealous of those who have done nothing but squeeze down the right woman's birth-canal, and were given OBSCENE amounts of wealth as a result? OF COURSE!

    But this too is irrelevant.

I have done better with my life - by orders of magnitude - than my parents, and they likewise topped theirs. My kids are ALL on track to do the same.

If you REMAIN poor in this country, even under the fascist/corporatist state that rules today, it is because of your own poor choices.

NEVER BEFORE in the history of mankind has ANY people given so much extreme advantage to the poor. College is essentially FREE to anyone even NEAR the "poverty line", and IS free to anyone so statused who has "dark" skin.

If you failed to avail yourself of these gifts (as I did - too ypung and stupid) you STILL can do incredibly well if you're just willing to work hard, as I did.

Covetousness and laziness aren't just a BAD combination, they're both crippling and EVIL!

Stop complaining, and GET TO WORK!

  2. GET TO WORK!

Absolutely. I was in in San Francisco on leave between tours, can't remember if it was the first or second extension though, when some young kid asked me for money. I replied "get a job." He said he couldn't find one, so I said "Join the Army" and his face looked as though he was just given a death sentence.

  3. I've suggested "the.mil" to a BUNCH of youngsters, making it clear that the image they have (some grunt sweating in a jungle/sandbox) was only <10% of the.mil...

You can learn about any trade you want, and get paid for it!

Further, if you work EVEN A LITTLE hard in HS, They'll pay all bills for your college *AND* pay you while you're going! Yeah - after college you owe them 4 years, but DURING that 4 years you're making what amounts to $75k/yr *AND* paying off your college loans too?!

To manage all the same, you'd need to earn around $100k RIGHT OUT OF COLLEGE in the civilian world to pray off all your loans and be debt-free after 4 years! - which will NEVER happen!

Further, the.mil experience you're an OFFICER - which translates to MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE -which is even more valuable in the civilian world!

And - just to put icing on the cake - you're also earning benefits that will pay fire the rest of your LIFE!

You'll ALWAYS get preference in hiring and contracts - ESPECIALLY when dealing with the.gov!

No matter how you slice it, there just isn't any better deal ANYWHERE - AND, for the REALLY non-.mil types, there's even the Chair- force, which is pretty much a 9-5 job, but with uniforms...

  4. A revocable living trust avoids probate and estate taxes up to a rather large sum. Find a 2009 copy of quicken will maker and get to work.

Yes, my parents had this, but don't think I'll be in need, unfortunately.:)
