    My thoughts (can't posts there as I REFUSE to use facebook)...:

    Oaks produce acorns which will feed pigs and cattle as well as some flour supplement. Vertical gardening methods can also greatly concentrate calories per square foot...

    Composting waste will provide all fertilizer needs -though water CAN be an issue, even this can be handled in most places with simple tech...

    Solar panels won't last forever - something to consider...
