Further, have you done any REAL looking into the OKC situation? IM(NS)HO, that was another of these "sting" situations - except they actually gave them A REAL FRIGGING BOMB, and lost track of them at a crucial point...
It's always seemed suspicious that there were no ATF folks in the building that day, when the joint would ordinarily have been CRAWLING with them! Further, it seems they'd been out all night staking out the neighborhood for some reason, then given up and gone home an hour or so before they rolled in with the truck...
Then there's all the other stuff that doesn't add up... "Andy the German"... The infamous "Extra leg"... The "JD#2" and the known snitch who could have posed for the "composite" sketch and was repeatedly pointed out to them yet never was given any attention at all...
Bottom line is this - as I've LITERALLY been saying since the evening of 9-11: "I'll take my chances with the terrorists from the middle-east with the rag-wrapped heads - it's the TYRANTS from DC who wrap themselves in the FLAG that worry me!"
I've yet to see ANYTHING to change that assessment...
The fact is that more people died on 9/11 choking on their food than in all the "attacks" combined.
In the 10 years since, more kids worldwide have died from drowning in mop-buckets (not to mention tubs, pools rivers and so-on) than people have died in all terrorist bombings combined.
This "cure" is INFINITELY worse than the disease!
I KNOW there are "bad people in the world who want to hurt us." Always have been. That we're making *MORE* of them every time we kill someone's kid (wife/father/mother/brother/sister/cousin/etc) in Iraq or Afghanistan should be obvious to anyone with eyes to see.
Though I OBVIOUSLY "support the troops" - The Boy is there RIGHT NOW, on his third deployment - I've been against "the war(s)" from the very beginning, ESPECIALLY as they're being run.
ID the bad guys and send them to hell with a (how appropriate!) hellfire-missile from a UAV. No need for any of our folks to get any sand in their boots!
Further, don't even acknowledge that WE did it! Let the cave-men think "allah" did it.
Put the troops on our border and solve THAT problem!
If we manage to find any bits of any of the terrorist sh!+-bags, subject them to "Molecular Justice" ( http://dumbolddad.blogspot.com/2009/11/molecular-justice.html )
And - lastly - make it known planet-wide that we've learned our lesson. Henceforth, "don't start nothin', won't BE nothin'.
BUT...
DON'T TREAD ON ME! If we find evidence that your COUNTRY was involved - that it had any governmental or military involvement in any attack on innocents, we're going to spray your largest city with liquefied pig right before the nuke hits, and repeat as necessary until we've kept 100 of your people out of your so-called "paradise" for every one of ours you sent to THEIRS.
It's long past time we stopped playing "world police" and let the rest of the world pay for their own .mil. I suppose we COULD keep our .mil folks working, keep our strength up and make some money for the treasury by "renting them out" - in other words they could do what they've been doing but WE GET PAID FOR THE SERVICE instead of impoverishing OUR descendants to pay for it!
Heck, I'm willing to bet that if we could recoup the costs of the .mil services we've provided the rest of the world, and the "free sh!+" we've showered on damn near everyone would pay off our entire national debt!
Plus, I'm willing to bet that if we called a moratorium on ALL free-sh!+ for the world, they'd be a lot more respectful to us in order to try to get us to turn it on again!
