Yes I am still hiring a few here and there. We are a small manufacturing company and we are still cautiously rebuilding after the last collapse but we are hiring and we recently invested in over a half a million dollars in new equipment built specifically here in the US that will be in place in the next two months. I plan to grow my business until the fools in charge of things bring us to a total collapse and then I will lock the doors, go home and settle in for the end game.
As to my reply to this link on L&P as to the reason I would employ this individual here is my reply. Someone willing to stand up for themselves in a pinch when treated well by an employer I have found will stand up for that employer as well. Taking initiative in a stressful situation plays well in a manufacturing environment and I have spent over 30 years in manufacturing. I do not want people who will throw their hands up in the air and give in when something does not go well or as expected. That is also a reason I grab up vets whenever I can and I have asked the company we use to screen potential employees to send me all vets ahead of other candidates if they meet the basic requirements. The skill set learned is one that can be applied in everyday situations in a manufacturing situation that gets things done. I have hired a couple young "ex"-Marines in the past few months and a 64 year old Army vet with machinist training who needed part time work to help supplement his income.

Love it! What a great attitude. By the way,if by chance the meet-up was held at my place, you wouldn't have to camp since my guest room with a queen bed would be available in the Georgian, as well as three single beds (One a mattress on the floor) on the top level of the Federal.
Too damn bad he does not live near me. I would hire him in a heart beat. I am always looking for a few good men/women.
