A bar down the street from where I lived at 141 Tran Quy Cap in Saigon did something similar. They bought out the bottles of 33, slammed the bottoms on the table and when the caps were removed slivers of ice formed all through it giving you a delightfully cold one.

My wife loves bottled water. When we lived in Alaska, a whole case of it got left outside on the front porch. It was cold out, and in the morning, I went to pick it up, expecting to find the bottles all frozen. When I got over to it, I noticed the bottles were not frozen.
ReplyDeleteAfter a brief "WTF?" moment, I picked up the case to bring it inside. I watched as every bottle froze, just like in this video.
Very cool.
If you throw a cup of hot coffee or boiling water in the air at -50°, it will vaporize before hitting the ground. That's pretty cool, too.

ReplyDeleteNeat! Hope I don't ever experience that temperature.:)
