I did ,in fact over the year`s Ive met several.The two I recall best was one I met in Racine Wis.who had been a U-boat crewman.The other had served as an enlisted man on the eastern front and was the owner of a store I did business with in a small New England town.Both of these men had been held for year`s in Soviet P.O.W. camp`s.I have no explanation as to why these people bared their very soul`s to me in lengthy conversation`s revealing thing`s that happened over half a century ago.Those who "Have been to see the elephant" are somehow forever linked , no matter the uniform.
