    I love all these men! God bless and keep them! I am very proud to be a decendant of Gen Toombs, the unpardoned Rebel. I still fight for the cause.

    A very good presentation of the CSA Generals.

    I do not know if you know this or not, but *Talitha Mayo Pippen was the second cousin , once removed of General Joel A. Battle whose two sons Joel Jr. and William Searcy Battle were both killed on April 6, 1862 at the Battle of Shiloh.

    General Battle's mother was Lucinda Atkinson Mayo, daughter of James Mayo, the brother of **Nathan Mayo.

    **My great, great, great grandfather, a colonel in the Revolution and good friends with my great, great Grandfather Ensign Joseph Pippen.
