Please pray for Tommy "PoP" Aaron. PoP has been SHNV's webmaster for years and a dear friend. I found out tonight that he's in the hospital with stomach cancer and he had his stomach removed. Thanks in advance for your prayers.

How sad, but we knew it was coming. I will remember him from his words below, among many, many others. Thanks man and say hi to my Confederate ancestors, please.

A sad,sad state of affair's I've lost many friend's and family to the scourge of our time. May the Lord keep and watch over you all.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep him and his family in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteThat sucks Brock.... I knew I hadn't been seeing updates from him recently, but you figures he's taking a break or pushing back a bit like everyone does, it seems. Hate to hear this. PoP is a great guy with a big heart. He'll be in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear the news of your friends fight with cancer. He and his family are now in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks y'all. He's been fighting it for years and it's amazing how long he has persevered. I'm trying to find a picture of him in Vietnam, but haven't so far. I've instructed the funeral home to have a Pig Pickin' and a Dixieland band when they put me under at Dixieland. My only complaint is that I'll miss it.:)
ReplyDelete"My only complaint is that I'll miss it"....
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the way? Dang it!
Too bad we don't know a week in advance so we could enjoy it also.:)
DeleteHe's home after seven weeks in intensive care. He's a fighter.
ReplyDeleteWhat's going on and health up-date.

Was back in hospital, lost a lot of blood. Got home night before last from Nashville VA Hospital. They found more cancer and a bleeding ulcer which is on my surgery scar tissue and can't fix just now fix now.... They give me 3 units of blood and I was told they could not operate on this new cancer as I was too weak and having no immune system said they would have to keep giving me blood & iron every week. I stay in pain, weak and sick 24/7 but the Lord provides.
Brother's love and blessings to y'all,
PoP
