By joining Generation Joshua, HSLDA’s youth and family political activism division, your family can take part in our national get-out-the-vote campaign (November 2–6, 2012).
Our country is at a crossroads. There are many who would choose a path of government entitlement, and there are many who will lead us down that path. But entitlements are not free. Everything given by the government comes with a price. And that price is freedom: the freedom to make responsible choices with our hard earned money, the freedom to express our sincerely held religious beliefs, the freedom to choose how our children will be raised.
Our country was not founded on the back of government bureaucracy. Our businesses are not successful because of government regulations. Our nation is great because it was built by the grace of God, and on the blood, sweat, and tears of hardworking men and women.
We must choose. Will America continue to be a nation that trusts in God? Will it be a bastion of hope and freedom in a world that has heard the siren call of socialism, or will it choose to give away its moral obligations and duties in favor of a free lunch?
We have a choice to make in 2012, and we have a message to send to our state capitals, the Halls of Congress, and the Oval Office. Freedom isn’t free. We paid a price for it. We will not give it away, it’s not for sale, and we will not trade it for expensive programs, runaway spending, and socialized education.
Generation Joshua will make a difference this November, but how big a difference is up to you. Generation Joshua’s Student Action Teams have proven time and again that organized, passionate homeschool students and parents change the course of elections, and with your help, we will do it again.
Generation Joshua Student Action Teams work to elect U.S. House and Senate candidates endorsed by the HSLDA Political Action Committee. These men and women demonstrate exceptional character, and are committed to a smaller government and protecting homeschool freedom.
Our impact is up to you. We need you to first join Generation Joshua (only Generation Joshua members can volunteer on a Student Action Team). Once you’re a member, volunteer for a Student Action Team near you. All your expenses will be covered as your teens—or your entire family—campaign from November 2–6, 2012. America needs us. Time and again we have proven that when we work together, we make a difference. Together we can change the future of America.
