Reflecting the Obama legacy and US culture, the columnist makes the shocking argument: "the bottom line is: 'whose 4-year-olds get killed?'"
On MSNBC's Morning Joe program, which focused on the third presidential debate , the former right-wing Congressman and current host Joe Scarborough voiced an eloquent and impassioned critique of President Obama's ongoing killing of innocent people in the Muslim world using drones. In response, Time Magazine's Joe Klein, a stalwart Obama supporter, offered one of the most nakedly sociopathic defenses yet heard of these killings. This exchange, which begins at roughly the 7:00 minute mark on the video embedded below, is quite revealing in several respects.
Here are the relevant portions of the exchange, which was triggered when
regular guest Mike Barnacle announced how amazing he found it that so
little public attention and debate is paid to the fact that Obama simply

Ty for sharing this! Every person who intends to vote needs to watch this video and read this article before election day.
ReplyDeleteThat and much more.
DeleteI worked for Republican candidates for 50 years. My emails to old Republican friends on the use of Predator drones has dissolved every friendship I had from those years. I honestly did not know how bloodthirsty we all were in that party in the last century. The Great Mystery, as Russell Means calls the Deity has replaced all of the lost ones with beautiful young people. One of them helped me convert a son from an Obama voter to a Gary Johnson voter. They, like me, did not want to vote for a guy who went to France for 2 1/2 years, (while you were in Vietnam and I was expecting every day to go,) as a "Mormon Minister", not quite same as Missionary.
ReplyDeleteYou converted one!
DeleteI totally agree, all the neocons, Romney, Cheney, etc, most with multiple deferrments (4+5) and all of their ilk, love lobbing bombs on innocents and making up phony scare tactics.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing Christian about their hatred. I would never vote for them, its aiding and abetting, and anyone who goes for it has blood on their hands.
You can bet that not a single one of the Romney boys will be on the front lines of the wars the father will start. But they will be on all the trips abroad like the Bush girls and Laura (which we paid for)
