WASP - Women Airforce Service Pilots

 Alyce Rohrer

Great link.  14 pages of WWII aviation pictures Checked the woman ferry pilot in 1943 closely to see if it was my mother in law. It wasn't. Here is the link to her page at the TWU archives. Fran was 93 this year. Not doing well, her memory is gone.

She was in WASP class 43-W-4

  1. Thanks for posting. I checked some of the other pages and noticed one had Fran listed as 1919-2006. That is incorrect, she is still with us. Sent the page to Donna (wife) and she will have them correct it. Overall TWC has done a great job documenting WASP history.
And you did a great job finding the other links.
Fran retired from Miami-Dade Community College as a professor in the Aeropace Department. She didn't give up her pilots licenses until she was 87. It just dawned on us, that is where they got the 2006 date.

Wow! It would be neat to go up with her.
