DeleteLincoln had working farms, working factories, much less debt, fewer metrosexuals and overall wimps, and hadn't thrown his military under the bus.... Further, if the south were to leave today and it were to come to military conflict, other nations might be more willing to help the south, because D.C. has hammered them at least as much as they have done to us. We aren't the only people in the world that have been ground under the Yankee's heel, our worldviews trampled by attempted progressive utopian visions that were implemented by force and bore rotten fruit. Not at all.

Bear in mind also that such help comes at a price, perhaps a terrible one. This discussion is more like picking one's method of execution rather than selecting one's birthday cake.

Change welfare back to relief for a start though I would rather secede and let them worry about their self inflicted problems.
DeleteI have lived my entire life in Iowa and never thought of moving. Sadly I see the course the country is going and am now prepared to move to any region that secedes from the current Divided States of America. I will then defend my new country and work for a better future of not only my family but everyone's.
