If I had the funds to travel America, the wonders to be viewed in every old town, and back road from coast to coast. We are destened to loose our heritage thru non travel. As a kid we traveled all the time. Historic landmarks were the main destination, battlefields, old homesteads, museums and old mom and pop stores. I guess we have to get on a ship to some foreign shore to have fun now.LOLOL

    1. I driven through 38 States, but that was back when gas was under a dollar a gallon.

I want the old truck in that pic. It would make a cool hot rod.

    2. I've taken off 3 summers and traversed the states west to east, east to west, using 3 different routes and I would never get bored doing it continually, I don't believe.

    1. Yes, I was thinking more or less along the same lines. Seems like I saw old electrical lines in one of them.

    2. That picture you have there Brock is Berlin, Nevada, one of the better preserved of the old towns. Right next door to Berlin is Ichthyosaur State Park, where the miners dug up the skeletons of huge sea creatures. Used their big vertibrae for door stops. Visit Berlin and get a two - fer.

There is also Bodie across the line in California, which is pretty cool too.
