  1. I always loved that "Bless their hearts" line.

    Anybody that has never had much to do with the South has no idea they have just been insulted.
    It's a nice way of saying Fuck You.
    The best part is that they always smile when they say it too.

  2. Oh, Lordy, that cracked me up and all I can say is yeah uh, I have heard every one of those sayings, grew up with most of them and have been known to say many of them. Thanks for the chuckle. ;)

  3. Well, you know my husband says I should never play poker because what I'm thinking is all over my face....smiling and gritting your teeth at the same time does give one a rather fierce look though.....

    The saying I love, and usually only people with Southern connections know what you're talking about is:
    "Oh, don't you worry about getting a motel, we'll just put together a pallet on the floor (pronounced flaw). ;P I slept on many a pallet when I was a child.
