Idaho Cooperates with Homeland Security on National ID

Via Teresa Sue

In June 2011, I noted here how a new cardless national ID system was forming up using state driver license data. It hasn’t gone very far. Passage of an immigration reform bill containing a national E-Verify requirement would slam down the gas pedal.

But a few days ago, Idaho became the third state in the union to sign up for the Department of Homeland Security’s RIDE (Records and Information from DMVs for E-Verify) program, which is administered by the ID-friendly American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators. Idaho joins Mississippi and Florida in volunteering state driver information to the DHS.

    5. Well, I'm starting to dig. I called the Idaho Transportation Dept., got an automated answer, not surprising for a Sat. So I emailed them asking who and what dept. made this decision.

Thank you for contacting the Idaho Transportation Department!
Your message will be routed to the appropriate department and answered as quickly as possible. We'll make every
effort to respond immediately, but it may take a day or more, depending on the complexity of the inquiry and staff
work load. If your concern needs immediate attention, please contact our main communications hotline at 334-8005.

      I'll let you know.

    6. One more thing. I would urge all your readers from Florida and Mississippi to start digging too. These bureaucrats are not just going to go away, it's time we held them accountable.

  2. Yes Miss Violet, I to will start to "dig". Just can't believe that the state of Idaho would sign off on something as unconstitutional as this. Crap, maybe I need to be rethinking my move to Idaho... Maybe Montana, or Wyoming instead? Very disappointing to say the least.
Kinda' unbelievable. Really has some bad vibes to it, similar to the beginnings of the NAZI state in the 1930's.

    2. The thing is this Roswell, there is NO PLACE to go where our rights will not be assulted in one manner or the other. NO PLACE. It has come down to the fact that we, as in ALL of us have to start calling these bureaucrats out and identifing them to fellow Americans. We have to let them know they CANNOT hide behind the faceless, annoyonmous wall of bureaucacy any longer. They do everything in their power to make our lives hell and make us bend knee. I didn't go looking for a fight, but by God I'll give them one and make their lives hell instead.

    3. Roswell,
My thoughts also. That just ruled out my move to ID.

    4. Miss Violet, you are absolutely correct! There is no "other place to go"... (I was voicing my frustration with the State of Idaho). That said, I am going to making the same calls that I imagine you'll be making to the state offices that allowed this crap to happen. Can't think of a single reason that they will blow out their collective as*'s that will make any sense at all. As you say, some nameless/faceless state pos (without consent of the citizens of Idaho)put this into play. The challenge will be to get it undone if at all possible!

    1. ;)I'm still pissed. First Saturday I have had off in way over a month and those statist jackasses ruined it. I did get my lard rendered and canned though. I've been thinking about running upstairs and fetching my tequila and applying some margarita first aide. ;) Hey Brock, don't let me forget when I'm in NC to pick up some of that liquor you recommended for mint juleps, I still haven't tried one. One more thing, that number above, the time might be MST. Later gators, I'm beat, temper tantrums take it out of you. ;)
