Iranian and North Korean experts are directing an operations room for the Syrian army ahead of a possible showdown with Western powers, according to informed Middle Eastern security officials speaking to WND.
The Iranians and North Koreans, based inside Syria, are focusing their efforts on ensuring the viability of Syria’s air defense systems while maintaining the embattled country’s vast missile arsenal, the officials said.
Russian military experts are also participating in the preparation efforts by advising the Syrian army, but Moscow has not met the expectations of Bashar al-Assad’s regime regarding the extent of their involvement, the officials said,
The Middle Eastern security officials further told WND they have information Iran failed to convince the Hamas command in the Gaza Strip to fire rockets into the Jewish state in the event of a Western attack on Syria.
The officials believe that if a Western attack against Damascus is surgical and is carried out without the goal of regime change, the Syrians may not retaliate against Israel.

This is about to get real ugly...
ReplyDeletePutin says that if Syria is attacked, Saudi Arabia will be their target immediately. Syria says if the US strikes Damascus, they will hit Israel. Iran has now chimed in saying if Syria is attacked, they will attack Israel as well. China has been almost silent on this whole thing... China cares more about the appearance of a strategic alliance with Russia, I think. They have said the United States and its allies are using chemical weapons as an excuse to pursue regime change... This to me, explains why we were arming Al Qaeda via Libyan resources and pipelines, because Russian and China have both been arming Syria to the teeth and it has been worth billions. Russia accounted for the lion’s share of $2.9 billion in arms. China supplied Assad’s military with $300 million worth of arms between 2003 to 2010. PROXY WAR is the name of the game currently, and it looks to me like the days of hiding behind indirect involvement are just about over. I really hope I've been in a nightmare and all of this is going to end when finally hear my alarm clock go off and come out of this bad dream. I really really hope..
:) No dream, unfortunately.
