Portland State University presented MLK week in January, 2014. One of the events was supposed to center around "social justice". I showed up expecting to hear the usual marxist infused class warfare, racial division, anti capitalism, anti American rhetoric. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Dr. Dapo Sobomehin's speech praising America, capitalism, voluntarism, and encouraging people to look past the divisiveness of race. Dr. Sobomehin came here from Nigeria when he was 19 years old, and apparently he took full advantage of the opportunities available to him.
Whether it was intentional or subconscious, he cleverly subverted what the PSU admins likely intended to be a wackjob commie message, and made the case for how capitalism and voluntarism are the best ways to help those in need.
Taxes? Nope! Voluntaryism!

"You cannot force it", says Dr. Dapo Sobomehin on taxing the rich, as
he goes on to promote voluntary efforts to help the least fortunate.

"We were looking for a black President, I don't know what that
means"..."I don't know what time you vote for dark skin, a
pigmentation"

"This is an incredible nation, we can't lose this place" Says Dr. Dapo
Sobomehin. "Get away from this pigmentation, you can't do anything
about it"... "When you talk about the oppression that's infused in
there, it's because you allow it to happen"... "I'm now a PhD.
Incredible! It can only happen in America. The opportunity for me here
in America"... "You cannot be depressed in America"

"I'm no longer into pointing fingers... I'm holding myself
