Blithering idiot.
Movie producer Harvey Weinstein announced for the first time on Howard Stern’s radio show that he is making a full feature drama to try to destroy the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Weinstein then revealed his secret project about the gun rights group. “I shouldn’t say this, but I’ll tell it to you, Howard,” he said. “I’m going to make a movie with Meryl Streep, and we’re going to take this head-on. And they’re going to wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.”
The shock jock asked whether the film was going to be a documentary. Mr. Weinstein said no, that it would be a “big movie like a ‘Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.’”
The movie mogul said his vision was to scare people away from firearms. He foresees moviegoers to leave thinking, “Gun stocks — I don’t want to be involved in that stuff. It’s going to be like crash and burn.”

"Blithering idiot"?..
ReplyDeleteI respectfully disagree with your assessment.
This guy creates popular movies, and he has just signaled his intention to continue his involvement in State propaganda.
He is NOT an idiot.
He is intelligent, and he knows exactly what he is doing, and what the end game will be.
Give me a break. You couldn't possibly agree with
Delete"“Gun stocks — I don’t want to be involved in that stuff. It’s going to be like crash and burn.”
or
"they’re going to wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.”
With all due respect, Sir, I think you just have not talked lately to any "zombies", and therefore forgot somewhat how they think (or whatever passes for "thinking" in their completely brainwashed heads).
DeleteJust a few weeks ago, I had a displeasure of hosting a 2-family evening for my wife's friend and her husband.
When, completely unprovoked, they dropped several very sarcastic remarks about me being a concealed pistol permit holder, I was completely shocked, and later I asked my wife that she does not invite them over ever again.
You cannot reason with them: they simply do not have any brainpower left to analyze your arguments (and let's face it: it's ridiculously easy to provide some absolutely undeniable pro-self-defense arguments, *if* the other person is willing to consider them...).
This Hollywood person knows this type of people well, and he knows how to work them up to anti-gun hysteria.
I can easily imagine these "friends" of ours to start freaking out about some "evil black gun" used in some school massacre.
This guy, being a movie producer, and a successful one, surely knows human psychology, and how to affect idiots' opinions, better than most other people.
He won't even try to convince you or me or people like us, but he still has at least 150 million people to manipulate the way he wants to...
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my opinion.
I enjoy your blog.

DeleteI don't believe I would have been gentlemanly as you were. :)
It is obvious that he and his Follywood ilk have and have had a socialist agenda for quite some time. Like others in the "lime light", they publically babble attention-getting english to get the masses to think they are in the know and propagandise hot-bed issues to stir emotions. If you say it often and loud enough, then it must be true is the psycops they use for they do control the media and therefor control the minds of happless, clueless individuals who vote.
ReplyDeleteThis is an uphill battle that is hard to fight due to the concentration of wealth, power, and communications these people have acumulated. One can only hope that the masses wake up before any chance of total gun control/confiscation can bring our once fine nation down to he knees.
total gun control/confiscation
DeleteTalking about a line in the sand.:)
Thank God for progressive left wing idiots. With luck this movie will boost NRA membership 10-15% and sell an extra million guns.
ReplyDeleteBadger
Heh! :)
DeleteWell, he won't be getting any of my money. But then, I rarely go to theaters and buy almost all my DVDs second hand from pawn shops.
ReplyDeleteI probably will see "Alongside Night" if it comes to Raleigh, though.
Alongside Night
DeleteLooks good. The TV has been turned on rarely here lately.
Yes, I still have a TV too, but I disconnected the incoming sewage line (cable) from it over a decade ago. Now it's just hooked up to the DVD player or, occasionally, the computer.
DeleteI do enjoy TCM, classic car auctions and drag racing, but haven't seen anything in a number of months.
