Hundreds of Second Amendment supporters took to an upstate New York forum on the SAFE Act and promptly turned their gun registration forms into a pile of ash.
The group, known as the NY2A Grassroots Coalition, held a Safe Act Forum at the Elks Banquet Hall in Saratoga County, where they discussed the “importance of not registering firearms” with the state. Methods of circumventing the SAFE act through civil disobedience and modification to existing firearms were also discussed, a legally modified AR-15 was raffled off, and gun registration forms were burnt in protest.
The day began with Republican candidate for governor Rob Astorino, declaring at a Saratoga gun show that he “will repeal the SAFE Act.”
