Ex-IRS official Lois Lerner’s crashed hard drive has been recycled, making it likely the lost emails of the lightening rod in the tea party targeting controversy will never be found, according to multiple sources.
“We’ve been informed that the hard drive has been thrown away,” Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, the top Republican on the Finance Committee, said in a brief hallway interview.

I hate to be such a cynic but why care. Yes the republicans are putting on a great show. In the end however they will do nothing regardless of what they find. They could find direct emails from Obama ordering the investigations and nothing would change. There may be at most three republicans that care the rest just go through the motions. The rest beat their chest, puff their jowls, feign outrage but do not want to make any changes. The media supports the partisan attacks so say nothing. With no media coverage the public do not care. So it simply does not matter nothing will happen no matter what is found.

A no rink circus.
DeleteMeanwhile back at the ranch, the low information, easily distracted voters allow themselves to their attention focused on the manufactured controversy over the name of a pro sports team.
ReplyDeleteTo quote a line from "the Lion King"...."I'm surrounded by idiots".
The fix is in. The so called republicans will go through the motions being outraged and proclaiming intent to take action, but will do nothing. Badger has it nailed. I suppose the next excuse will be that space aliens came in the middle of the night and stole all the paperwork, hard drives and every thing else related to the IRS scandel.
Whatever fancy's their minds, I assume.
DeleteThe NSA has a copy of everyone's emails since 2004. All it should take is a court order.
ReplyDeleteExcept Obama would make sure one way or another that the judge would not do that. Obama makes Al Capone look like a saint.
