In his Facebook pictures, Kire McNeil flashes gang symbols and shows off his ink. "Fear no Evil" is tattooed in fancy cursive just below his neckline. Jewelry juts from his ears and under his mouth, his navel and an eyebrow. In one picture, he holds what appears to be a marijuana cigarette.
Kire is a 17-year-old Hope Mills resident with a winning smile and a rap sheet that now includes murder.

40, and Isaiah Manuel Sampeur, 25, on Jan. 20 at the former Cambridge
Arms apartment complex off McPherson Church Road.

Anyone that has seen the movie My Cousin Vinny will recognize the term yoot (youth). I recommend the movie if you haven’t seen it yet. It’s a fun watch and if nothing else it’s worth it just to see Marisa Tomei’s performance on the witness stand.
Back to the subject at hand.
Many of today’s ‘yoots’ are worse than a baby rattlesnake that can’t control it’s venom. Gang bangers, the wannabe gb’s and the kids that spend endless hours playing first person shooter games seem to have a lack of understanding in what it means to take a human life. This in spite of the game programmers and RAP vocalists telling us that their art form does not promote this type of behavior and lack of morals. Parental guidance or lack thereof plays a huge role in this also. On top of that, pile on all the psychotropic drugs that are being fed to our children in lieu of the aforementioned parental guidance and as a substitute baby sitter or so that teachers can cope with darling little Johnny.
None of us can imagine wanting to shoot what amounts to a child and just thinking about it is depressing. Yet in today’s world it is becoming more and more likely as we watch the headlines about school shootings, mall shootings, home break ins and the ever popular Trayvon Martin. You, either as a CCW holder in public or in a home defense situation need to come to grips with the possibility of shooting a young person as to hesitate just may cost you and/or your loved ones their lives. Just make sure that your life TRULY is in danger before you press that trigger, you will only have a split second to decide.

DeleteThat quote from Socrates, just floored me. To think that in his time the same struggles with young people virtually mirror the issues of my childhood. Dare I say that today's issues with our youth are far more dangerous, and indeed deadly!
