Soldier: Army told us to lie about Bergdahl’s capture

Via avordvet

The State Department’s attempt to shut up the soldiers who served with Bowe Bergdahl at the time of his capture may end up backfiring on the White House, which has apparently decided to attack their integrity rather than explain their own spin on the issue.  One soldier appeared on Fox and Friends this morning who took part in the post-desertion search for Bergdahl and said that the military instructed them to lie about the circumstances of Bergdahl’s disappearance (via Noah Rothman at Mediaite):

  2. Who was the Secretary of Defense at that time? Panetta? I can't remember. Was Petraeus still on duty at that time? Who told them to lie and then sign non-disclosures? After two years, I read that they were given kill orders if they encountered Bergdohl because they knew he was a full-on collaborator and could kill them. Meanwhile, he is not classified as a POW, but still is entitled to pay and promotions. What's up with that?

    1. 5 years, so the order must have come from the almighty Obama and I guess since he wasn't classified as anything but missing, as I remember, he gets automatic increases.
