Interesting. But the USA doesn't have a middle class. Middle class specifically means those people who are between the aristocracy (upper class) and the serfs/peasants. To define Americans in this hierarchy is to obscure the mobility and freedom that exists in the American economy and to create loyalties in small groups to fictional class distinctions.
