  1. Oberservation here, I had a hard time telling initally which country/military these guys represented. So my take away is this; the current state of military hardware, items and guns have pretty much hit a plateau, where they really can not be improved upon and things are as good as it is going to get. Everyone wears some kind of camo uniform, The helmets look pretty much the same. Everyone is wearing gloves The tactics are the same. When it comes to the bullet launchers, take your pick; it's toss up between the AK or AR platform. Both are up to the task of putting holes in the other guy.

    2. I did deternine that those troops were Russian by the flag patch that I briefly saw. Which, lead to my observation of the current state of military is more or less as good as it is going to get.
All keyboard and arm chair "experts" aside, a hundred years later, the 1911 is still a go to gun for self defense. And all the .45 vs some other caliber debates show that it continues to be a good choice for when things turn very anti-social.

Agreed. I read an interesting article the other day concerning the 1911 which the individual loved and had owned for many years, but he said he would go with a Glock in an actual combat situation.
