Target Joins the Anti-Gun Movement

In all honesty, recent high-profile open carry stunts have done little to help the proliferation of firearm rights. In fact, it has hurt the cause. And this isn’t the opinion of one “carry advocate” with a Townhall column… Even Open Carry Texas seems to understand that there are potential pitfalls to toting an AK around the grocery aisle of your local Super Target.
******************************

Well… I’m starting to run out of places to shop. Target Corporation (TGT) made the announcement on Wednesday that they have acquiesced to the Bloomberg fanatics who believe no-one should be armed while shopping. The company (politely) asked customers to keep their guns at home the next time they wander in for a DVD or Cuisinart.

Of course, it’s not all bad news. After all, a Target store in San Antonio recently booted anti-gun activists from its store. The Bloomberg inspired group, Moms Demand Action (moms I know carry .380 automatics), was asked to leave the premises as they petitioned shoppers to sign a ban on open carry.

So, when taken in the context of recent events, it kinda looks like the retail chain simply wants to be left out of the gun/anti-gun debate. And really, who can blame them? Picket signs, petition drives, and even AR-15s aren’t always good for business. I mean, sure, Target is creating a “solution” to an imaginary problem by banning gun-loving America… But they’re not exactly doing this in a vacuum.

  3. As much as dispise Target, I have agree with here....If you come dressed like the idiots on the left I would not want you in my store either. Hey dumbass....just because the law permits you to walk around like the IDIOTS on the left does NOT mean you should. I don't care if it is your "right" do so. Attention alll gun owners....the odds are against us. You have to look more cooler and seem to more , smarter, ect ect. You have to make the anti-gunners look like backwards, knuckle drawing, low IQ'd bottom of barrel trailer trash, unreasonable extermists. In short out do them in the name calling proproganda dept.
Again just because do something does not mean you short. You have to know when to shut up and back off. Ok enough of my rant.

    1. A circular firing squad. I believe the ones who intentionally make a show when they go open carry are simply looking for attention, thinking that they are impressing others, when nothing could be further from the truth.

  4. These are complete clowns just missing the big red noses who come into a department store like this. I got nervous once in department store in PA when I saw this shit going on. I am a VERY strong advocate for the Second Amendment.

  5. Yeah someone should take their faking guns away! Those a$$holes. If you can't look all smart and neat and tidy with your block you are a trouble maker and don't deserve to carry I guess? Look they look like a$$hats, I'll grant you that, but a lot of people died for their right to be complete idiots. And you folks are starting to sound like the anti crowd. Sorry but it smells. Cloward meet Piven.

Which they are and can keep on doing, but so far this has only resulted in harm. At any rate, we don't need the 2nd or anything else, as it is a Natural Right.
