Communism

  1. Communism is a seductive concept. It appeals to the intellectual as well as to the uneducated. It touches a basic human desire to help others. It truly depicts utopia in every way. There is no need everyone has a home, food, education and freedom from worry. It is very easy to sway the public in favor of communism.

The only problem with communism it does not work. Humans while expressing compassion for others is actually greedy and selfish. People act and work in their own self-interest. Now while greed and selfishness are the driving force most work with can best be called enlightened self-interest. Most people are happiest when filling their need for greed works in sync with another filling their need for greed. It is the business equivalent of a Win-Win. That desire for both parties getting what they need is what separates normal people from sociopaths.

That basic desire to help others is stolen when government assumes that task. The communist utopia fails on two of the basic human drives. The most important the need for a human is to reap what you sew and the good feeling of helping another. That is the failing of communism no matter how good it sounds in theory it always fails when applied to humans.

  2. There are 3 kinds of people in the world:

    Those who make things happen,
    Those who watch things happen,
    and
    those who wonder what happened.

Except that there is a 4th kind of person. Those that want to enslave the entire society with them in charge.
