Pope Francis declares evolution and Big Bang theory are right and God isn't 'a magician with a magic wand'

Via Ryan

The theories of evolution and the Big Bang are real and God is not “a magician with a magic wand”, Pope Francis has declared.

Speaking at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the Pope made comments which experts said put an end to the “pseudo theories” of creationism and intelligent design that some argue were encouraged by his predecessor, Benedict XVI.

Francis explained that both scientific theories were not incompatible with the existence of a creator – arguing instead that they “require it”.

  1. Martin Luther was right. Please look at "Depictions of the Papacy."? I think I will crap out a few Popes tonight.

  3. Makes no difference to me what the pedophile says. Even if he's right and it is evolution and big bang....Who invented that?? I'll tell you.. GOD invented that.
It all had to start somewhere, from some entity. Maybe we don't understand exactly
what or who GOD is but he's still GOD and he IS the Alpha and the Omega.

  6. I do beg to differ regarding evolution (marco). IF evolution is, as claimed "the science is settled" then would some evolutionist explain to me how a 4 chambered heart evoloved? Seems to me that the heart has to work right the first time or die. I do accept changes within a species, but, brand new species?

      I certainly wouldn't know.

  7. I suspect in a few days that someone will come out with a "misspoke" statement or more likely a "misinterpretation" of his language into English. It isn't the first time that "journalists" have botched his words. But yea, he definitely needs new people to disseminate what he actually means. His foremost job is saving souls, not interpreting the latest "scientism" of the secular world.
