While the online idea is plausible it's more reasonable (if you're an internet nut job) to assume a US Marine Expeditionary Force has been deployed into the fighting in Ukraine. So let's all run in circles with our hair on fire because it's a new day and we need a new conspiracy theory to go with it. :)

:) Well, there was that video which showed what seemed to be an American, though if he was, I imagine he was a contractor.
