My 7th great-grandfather was George "the Jacobite" Marchbanks, who came to the colonies in 1716, in irons, as a British slave. Not an "indentured servant", a slave. About 100 years later my great-great grandmother, Rebecca Malinda Marchbanks was born at or near Traveler's Rest, SC.I just want to go back to the Hills of Caroline and die under the cross of St. Andrew and the Battle Flag of my state of adoption, Virginia. I consider myself a proud citizen of both states.
Come to the Fall PATCON and stay, Sir! We'll be proud to have you. :)
I have placed the trip on my Altar of Intent and speak of it daily to my family. I have high hopes. There is nowhere I'd rather go. Your persistence is encouraging.
Thank you, Sir and afterwards to Emerald Isle for fishing! :)
Whats the difference between a indentured servant and a slave?
An indentured servant works as a slave for a determined number of years. My 3x great who built the Dixieland homes was sent here from England as such for thievery of some sorts. Best thing that ever happened to him! :) Hope all is well.
Hanging in...on...etc. S.S.D.D. Still no work, but looking forward to the fall PatCon.
You're a good man, Charlie Brown. :)
Our flag is a religious symbol. Include religious persecution against Southerners among the crimes that have been committed by the Obama administration.
Can't believe this imbecilic nation elected a commie and twice.
If this whole ordeal brings Americans closer to their Anglo-Irish Protestant culture then it is a good thing. For far too.long Americans have been woefully ignorant of their social/cultural/linguistic heritage and have received their knowledge from those who have a largely socialist agenda. Be proud of your Ulster heritage! Wear the red hand with pride! Once you know the story of The red hand of Ulster then you will understand why Ulster Scots people fight so hard for their heritage and their land. NO SURRENDER.
