This is the shocking moment a cop tried to shoot a family's dog and accidentally killed a mother-of-three in front of her young son

You use your mace idiot. That's what my Cape Carteret cop did when attacked on my property by a neighborhood dog.  You get nothing but contempt and scorn from me.  Should not have been let back on the force.

This is the shocking moment a cop tried to shoot a family's dog and accidentally killed a mother-of-three in front of her young son.

Burlington Police Officer Jesse Hill was responding to a domestic dispute on January 6, 2015, when he said he slipped and shot dead Autumn Steele, while aiming for her pet.

Body cam footage shows the cop arriving at the Burlington home, in Iowa, where Steele, 34, was in a heated row with her husband Gabriel.

  2. I had two deputies show up to my house a few weeks ago at 12:30 at night. Our driveway is about 1600 feet long with a closed gate and no trespassing signs at the main road.
The dogs didn't wake up till one deputy was on the porch which tells me, due to the way everything is situated and how my dogs respond, that the two deputies came down the driveway slow with headlights off. They parked in parts of the yard where it was difficult to see their cars out the window.
I thought we were being broken into. I grabbed what I needed to and was headed out to end the situation. Thankfully my wife looked out a different window and spotted one of the cruisers and yelled out to me.
The deputy was looking for someone who didn't live anywhere near me. The other deputy was walking around back doing god knows what.
They were very stupid and unprofessional. If my wife didn't see their car it would have been messy all the way around.
I've placed calls with the sheriffs department but no one has called back. Don't ever assume that the police officer you have to deal with knows what he's doing!!!!

  3. I remember this as it happened about 80 miles from me. The original incident I believe happened early January of this year. The dog in question was a full grown German Shepard not some little ankle-biter. If memory serves the officer was attacked and bitten. While tragic, I did not see any indication the officer went over the line. While there are many cases where the officer acts inappropriately, for me this is not one.

    1. Thanks and it was a German Shepherd here, but the officer calmly sprayed him and that was it.

  4. In a just nation, that cop would be scared to death to open the door to put the cat out at night.

    1. If someone was threatening me with a weapon, I would pull my weapon, but certainty use my spray on a dog first.

  5. We've achieved equality. The black cops are as stupid as the white ones.
