I'm amazed that they reported it.
The New York Times published a profile of a Donald Trump campaign office in Florida, expressing astonishment at the number of non-white people and immigrants working in it.
Recently, the media have
honed in on the support Trump has received from white supremacists, and
the various positions he takes — such as opposition to illegal
immigration — that are allegedly racist callbacks to the days of the Ku
Klux Klan.
But when the Times profiled
a Trump campaign office in Tampa, Florida, it found a diverse group of
Trump supporters that included numerous immigrants.
“For a campaign frequently depicted as offering a rallying point for the white working class, the people volunteering to help Mr. Trump here are noteworthy for their ethnic diversity,” the report says. “They include a young woman who recently arrived from Peru; an immigrant from the Philippines; a 70-year-old Lakota Indian; a teenage son of Russian immigrants; a Mexican-American.”
Yep, just like Yankees who come down South and see folks of all colors working, eating, drinking, and living around each other. It blows their mind, that we don't hate one another. Truth be spoken, there are a few idiots here on every side that do hate, but they are not the norm. We have a problem with the haters, but not with what skin tone they happen to have.
ReplyDeleteLike I have said before, Donald Trump is drawing people from all walks of life, and across all lines of the division that the TPTB have created and promoted in their quest to keep the people separated and fighting among ourselves. We are uniting, and it is causing many a frantic moment as they see the unity grow stronger. Hurrah! :)

DeleteAbsolutely. As I told my Cousin Cora whose gg grandfather was the master servant of my gg grandfather:"I have more in common with a black girl from Tarboro than a white girl from NYC."
