Congressman Mo Brooks won't back off "anything short of shooting them" illegal immigrant threat

"Anything that is lawful, it needs to be done because illegal aliens need to quit taking jobs from American citizens."

Hispanics nationally are stepping up their criticism, but U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks won't apologize for saying he would "do anything short of shooting them" to keep illegal immigrants out of America.
"I'm not going to back off because these folks want to resort to name-calling," Brooks said Monday.

Brooks spoke after a week in which he was criticized by the head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and two groups of Hispanic Republicans.

  1. They're probably taking jobs not only that other poor would do but that the young would do.

So, it hits upward mobility. It's very bad.

Democrats of course don't care about the poor. >.> They just want to import more poverty!

    1. No welfare, as we currently know it and the jobs will be filled. Back to 'relief' which gives you the minimum help to get by for a specified period of time only.

  2. In Colonial Virginia, I'm pretty sure I saw a form of workfare, where the destitute could do some sort of labour for the government to get fed.

That of course would bring the government in competition with private businesses, so I'm not suggesting it's how we fix things today.

    1. If you're able bodied, you need to do something, that's for sure.

  3. One law they they should enact immediately. Only American citizens can collect any welfare benefits. Non-Citizens should be banned from EVERYTHING.

    1. 100%. I am responsible for a brother and sister in law not using 'public assistance' for 10 years and I fully agree with this.
