FBI Director James Comey was seen entering the White House on Friday amid an investigation into Russian activities during the campaign that includes an inquiry into President Trump's associates and their ties to Russia.
It was not immediately clear why Comey had arrived at the White House or who he was planning to meet. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Comey confirmed to the House Intelligence Committee earlier this week that a Russia-related investigation had expanded to include allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian-backed actors who leaked Democrats' emails during the presidential race. Those allegations have not been substantiated.
