ATI imports firearms primarily from Turkey. Modern Turkish manufactured firearms tend to randomly have bad heat treating unless they are subject to QC by one of the big name firearm manufacturers such as Winchester. I am aware of recoil spring assemblies "blowing" out of ATI handguns. Personally, I wouldn't trust an ATI AR, Especially when you can get an Andersen or Radical for about the same money. OTOH, check out CDNN Sports. They have actual Colt ARs for just a little more.

It has a polymer lower. The last generation of the Omni lowers had a weak spot where the buffer tube screwed in but I heard they are using a brass insert to correct that. The trigger is mush. It has a 1:7 twist rate that should stabilize a 77gr bullet but I know of one that shoots a 11" MOA w/77gr and less than 1 MOA with 62gr and 55gr bullets. Spend $50 more for a Palmetto State Armory Freedom series and you will have a much better AR.
Thanks and they are the same price as the Colt above now.http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-freedom-rifle.html
