Reps. Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan: It's time for Jeff Sessions to go, as shown by the latest FBI leak

Leaks, many from within Attorney General Jeff Session's Justice Department, have saturated the mainstream media coverage since the 2016 presidential campaign concluded. (Andrew Harrer/Bloomberg)

As the first year of the Trump administration comes to a close, one can't help but look back on how allegations of “Russian collusion” dominated the headlines of almost every news agency. Hearings, leaks, and so-called "bombshells" saturated the mainstream media coverage almost immediately after the 2016 presidential campaign concluded.

Sadly, manufactured hysteria on this issue throughout 2017 has frequently masked the substantial accomplishments of President Trump’s administration — some that qualify as historic. The stock market has surged at levels not seen in nearly a decade. The Islamic State has been decimated in the Middle East. Our embassy in Israel is moving to Jerusalem, Israel’s undivided capital. Trump delivered on the largest tax cuts and overhaul to the tax code since the Reagan administration. These are just a few examples.

  1. Nothing remarkable here. He takes all the easy routes.
Jeff Sessions as Attorney General has in my view been the biggest disappointment of Donald Trump’s entire cabinet. His handling of the Russia kookspiracy nonsense was terrible, he still hasn’t appointed a special counsel to look into the criminality of Hillary Clinton, he’s done nothing about the criminal conspiracy to shut down the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville and he hasn’t done nearly enough to go after the violent savages roaming around our country.

But get this, he has time to go after legal marijuana. This is just dumb.

Couldn't be said better and I find it mind boggling that he didn't notify Trump before he recused himself. At least be man enough to notify Caesar before you stab him.

  2. G. Edward Griffin states it is the money as usual - the prison
    industrial complex and big pharma:

Jeff Sessions is fighting legalization because his friends in the private prison industry and the pharmaceutical industry know what legalized cannabis will do to their obscene profits.

People were pleased that Sessions came on board - not any
more; not the man he use to be.
