Ah, yes, I remember it well. I seem to remember it was often populated with French rubber plantation managers who appeared to be able to operate with impunity in areas controlled or dominated by the VC/NVA> I often wondered how they managed that?
The photos are heartbreaking and enigmatic. What was that world like for you and how can anyone possibly reconcile that past with the present? A much needed story is there to tell.
Thanks and April 30, 1975 was the saddest day of my life. I have many personal, funny stories on Nam South Memories of the Republic of South Vietnam starting with the oldest, page 7. I have more pictures that I will post daily.
