Texas Governor Abbott deploys National Guard to border

As a caravan of more than 1,000 migrants makes its way across Mexico with the hopes of entering the United States, how and where those migrants enter the country remains unknown.

It is assumed officials in California will welcome them should they attempt to enter the country there, but Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has other plans should they hope to enter via his state.

In a tweet posted Sunday, Abbott sent out a reminder that it’s not just U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents manning the entry points to Texas.

He’s also deployed National Guard troops, Abbott said.

  1. If he is serious he will also issue ammo.

After hurricane Elaina I was deployed to guard a Honda dealership to make sure it didn't get vandalized or robbed. I was issued a M-16 and 3 magazines - no bullets.

    1. no bullets.

In Vietnam I only pulled bunker duty once and the only one who had ammo was the machine gunner. It was at USARV Headquarters which seldom had a problem until Tet '68 but really. Their thinking is beyond the pale.

  2. Yeah, he's doing it, but it's to
    help Border Patrol agents facilitate
    processing these illegals (more efficiently),
and releasing them into America, never
to be seen again except on welfare rolls
    and illegally voting.
