Musk said it could also work as "an escape pod in space."

Elon Musk has a plan.

The billionaire entrepreneur and engineers at his private spaceflight company SpaceX designed a “kid-size submarine” that they said could help with a harrowing rescue operation underway to retrieve a group of boys trapped in a flooded cave in Thailand.

It arrived on Monday night, and the mogul shared some thoughts and photos on his Twitter account:

  1. i heard that six boys were already rescued by divers? In any case I really admire that fellow Musk for his good will and efforts.

    1. All 13 (12&1) I believe and the sub might be of use later. I'm amazed that none of the kids freaked out.

  2. Hmmm, now this other side of the coin:

Just couldn't help himself. Don't these people know who he is? Thanks Brock. I am GLAD that these kids made it out okay. That is always the priority. Cheers.

  3. Musk is odd, but the "sub" might have been helpful, especially if someone were injured/sick and couldn't swim.

I don't want to say anything too negative about the guy for trying to help.
