  1. "He was a Free Man"

There is no better tribute. Few of us will ever experience his level of freedom. I lived my life my way but I was never as free as Popcorn.

  2. The Appalachian way of life has been wiped out by outsiders and
development. Use to be one could go into Appalachian mtns. in
Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and see a totally
different culture. They lived by a separate set of rules.
Now, all gone. You see ugly modern homes sitting on hilltops.
Towns transformed. They are strangers in their own land.
Appalachian is now a word for tourists. If the masses had
not invaded, Popcorn would still be doing his thing.

and/or if Moonshine had been going on all these years but was done by minorities, they would be left alone.
